Snowmobile Safari in Lapland

Hemavan Outdoor arranges snowmobile safaris in Lapland. You can choose among a 2 hour guided snowmobile safari, half-day guided safari or a full day guided safari. The safari leaves Hemavan Outdoor for the largest wilderness in Europe, the Vindelälvens National Park. The safari follows the Kungleden which is located at higher ground or to Lofjället which is located at lower ground it all depends on the weather condition, safety is a high priority. The guides we use are used to the arctic terrain in Lapland and have good experience; they make the trip comfortable and safe.

After some driving we stop for coffee or lunch (it depends on which package you have bought). To ride a snowmobile for some hours exhaust ones energy more than you can think. Therefore is it very nice to sit down with a hot cup of coffee and feel the energy and warmth coming back to your body. The lunch is of course made over an open fire.

The Snowmobiles we use are Yamaha 500 cc XT. You can choose if you want to ride alone at a snowmobile or if you want to share it with a family member or a friend. One part of our safety policy is to always use GPS-navigation and experienced guides, if the group is large we will use one guide as a sweeper.

To go on a snowmobile safari in Lapland is really something special. The nature itself is magnificent and varying. You can drive through birch forest, over frozen lakes and up to the bare mountains. The Vindelfjällens National Park has a rich animal life. Don’t be surprised if you spot a reindeer, bobcat, arctic fox or a lynx.

Our season reaches from 1st January – 1st of May. The size of the groups varies from 5 – 25 people.
