You can find great fishing waters located just 4 kilometres from Tärnaby. Here you have a good chance catching a salmon trout. The fishing is just as good if you continue some kilometres upstream the Jovattsån, or downstream by the Umeå rivers outflow from Stor-Laisan. You can also go to Umeå rivers inflow to Gäutan. The royal family and their guests are the only ones allowed fishing in waters above the reserved stream and in Forsavan.
